October 30 & November 1, 2025
15 minute Intermission
Approximate runtime including intermission: 1 hour 30 minutes
Keevin has been involved in many community theatre productions in Peterborough for twenty-five years. Recent roles have included Robin in Something Rotten and Simeon in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. He is thrilled to be joining Theatreboro in their first production. During the day, Keevin enjoys being a grade six teacher.
When Jocelyn was 8 she sang her first note. It wasn't great and things have only marginally improved since. She's been in many musicals as an adult, just one hint that points to her mental illness diagnoses. Her past work has received rave reviews, such as "Wait, who?", "I literally don't remember her being in that show" and "Idk, she was fine at best." Much like a rescue dog, she needs approval from others to survive but praise makes her nervous, so feel free to compliment her performance but DO NOT look her in the eyes when you do so.
Susie enjoys the community of theatre, dance and singing. It is such an honour to be singing with so many talented villains (oops I mean artists) in this show.
Kate began her theatre career at the tender age of six, starring in the one-woman show Broadway In The Car With Kate. That this show was very ill-reviewed by her sisters did not deter her; she continues to be an enthusiastic singer, performer, and all-around drama queen. Favourite villain: the Phantom of the Opera. Love to the fabulous theatreBORO fam, and J, M, and H, always.
Michelle Hugill is thrilled to be part of this production! A lifelong musician and educator, she has spent over twenty years directing choirs, teaching voice, flute, and piano, and helping singers find confidence and joy in their sound. A McGill University music graduate, Michelle studied choral conducting with the late Iwan Edwards and continues to perform whenever she can. She's delighted to return to her performing roots with this wonderful cast and creative team.
Christie is thrilled to be part of Theatreboro's inaugural show! Some previous credits include Morticia in Addam's Family (VOS Theatre), Sibella in Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, Tanya in Mamma Mia, Mrs Banks in Mary Poppins (St. James Players), Grace in Annie (Peterborough Theatre Guild). She also enjoys singing with the Peterborough Singers and playing pickleball whenever she can :)
The Front Porch Warblers started singing together in 2022. These friends can often be found in the woods, chirping in harmony or catching insects mid-flight. The make-up of the group changes regularly due to seasonal migration. For this concert, Erinn Burke, Andy Burke, Maya Vermue Peters and Erica Jaarsma will be singing their hearts out for you. Singing a villain song will be a fun change of pace for this melodious group, but don't worry: they'll Be Prepared!
I am a 43-year old husband and father. By day I am a Real Estate Appraiser based in Bancroft, Ontario, and in my spare time, when not with my wife and kids, I sing with the Peterborough Singers. I began singing and performing at a young age, taking voice lessons, singing in choirs, and performing in musicals throughout elementary and high school. I attended Wilfrid Laurier University, where I sang in the WLU choir, and in my final year of university with the Laurier Singers. After graduation and nearly 15 years away from music, in March 2020 I began singing with the Peterborough Singers. Music brings such joy to my life, and I am delighted to be a part of Theatreboro's Villains of Broadway Concert!
Heather is thrilled to be part of Theatreboro's first show! She has thoroughly enjoyed singing with this bunch of Villains. Heather has most recently been in stage in PTG's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, SJP's A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder and PTG's Something Rotten. She hopes you enjoy this evil, rotten bunch of vocalists and the beautiful (but villainous) music they make.
Vira is a newcomer to the Peterborough musical theatre community, making her debut as part of the ensemble in St. James Players' 2024 production of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder. She's thrilled to join TheatreBORO as part of the admin team and to perform with the ensemble in the Villains of Broadway concert. Outside of theatre, Vira sings with the Peterborough Singers and enjoys performing in local improv shows with the Rapids End improv crew.
Rebecca holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Waterloo as well as a Masters Degree from Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance in London, England. Recent credits include: Onion Skins & Peach Fuzz: The Farmerettes (4th Line Theatre), The Tilco Strike (4th Line Theatre), Last of the Red Hot Lovers (Burloak Theatre Group), Waiting for Godot (Knockout Theatre Company), Present Laughter (Knockout), Macbeth (The Potluck Collective), and Taming of the Shrew (The Shakespearience Group).
Alex loved the arts growing up participating in the Sears Festival, improv and choir! For the past 5 years she's honed her vocal skills and like a shooting star is joining us on stage! She's going to knock it right out of the park and you won't want to miss it.
Nate was once very young (6), and while being young he started his theatre journey in Peterborough at Trent University with the Classics Drama Group. Since then he has been involved in many local productions (and even one professional TV show). He is very excited to help bring TheatreBORO to life and be part of its first production. He hopes you enjoy the show!
Brenna Goldie has been in love with theatre ever since she was very young and is excited to help bring TheatreBORO to life with this inaugural production. She has taken the stage in many local productions and is thrilled to help bring community theatre to more people. She also thinks her husband is very good at writing her bio for her.
Born and raised in Peterborough, I studied piano for many years, and more recently pipe organ. I love choral music and sing tenor in the St. Peter's church choir in Cobourg as well as being a longtime member of the Peterborough Singers. This past summer, I had the privilege of traveling with Peterborough Singers to Durham, where I served as the cantor throughout our week of Evensong services. Performing organ and choral music is an enduring reflection of my love for music. I currently play part-time at St John the Baptist in Lakefield. In addition to studying music, I graduated from Trent University with a Computer Science Bachelor's degree (Hons.).
Katie is thrilled to be accompanying TheatreBORO's inaugural production. As a collaborative pianist, she has worked with numerous vocalists and instrumentalists throughout the Peterborough area.
Kevin is excited to be hosting TheatreBORO's Villains of Broadway concert. He has been involved in the local arts scene for many years and is delighted to be part of this inaugural production.
